Applying heat with a heat gun or hairdryer turns your Rex drip waxed chain into a hot waxed chain, without even removing the chain from your bike. Apply medium heat until the wax melts and gets absorbed into the chain. Use low heat: If it smokes, it's too hot! Let the chain cool down, and notice it's now just like a freshly hot waxed chain.

This method also reduces the amount of wax that is flaking off in the beginning of riding, and maximizes the amount of wax that stays in the chain. It also melts the freshly applied drip wax together with any previous wax in the chain.

Only possible with Rex drip waxes, because they are the same stuff as our hot wax, only in temporary liquid state. This tip also works with Rex Domestique Drip Wax
