The Gardens of Amen-Ptah, symphonic legend for grand orchestra, op. 13
Dedicated to the composer's wife, Anne le Forestier; written in Dendera, Luxor, and Abu Simbel in spring 1994, in Luttenbach (Haut-Rhin) in 1996, and in Boulogne-sur-Mer from 1995 through 1997.
Commissioned by the Orchestre national de Lyon, who execute the work and premièred on 27 May 1997 by said ensemble at the Auditorium Maurice Ravel conducted by Emmanuel Krivine.
