Today, Ghodrat, along with his sister Fariba, has come to Sardasht. From the early hours of the morning, both of them were worried about the goats’ fodder, since their supply of straw had completely run out. For this reason, they decided to head to the Sardasht market before doing anything else, so they could buy feed for the animals. The road was long, but filled with conversations between the brother and sister—talks that made them forget the fatigue of the journey. In Sardasht, they bought some straw from Nasibe, which eased their worries about the goats’ feed. After that, they decided to visit Ali Saleh’s family, whom they had not had the chance to meet for a long time. This visit, after such a long separation, was full of joy and warmth for both sides. They spent long minutes talking, sharing memories, and laughing; as if time had stopped and every moment was devoted to peace and happiness. Ali Saleh’s family was also delighted to see Ghodrat and Fariba, and the visit became one of the best parts of their day. Later on, Ghodrat and Fariba went to Farideh’s house to do some additional shopping from there as well. All these errands and purchases made their day quite busy, yet both of them felt good—similar to the satisfaction one feels after completing necessary and useful tasks. In the end, the brother and sister spent a busy yet wonderful day in Sardasht—a day full of cooperation, family affection, and the pleasant feeling of being together.
