Early 1981 is a sweet spot in the Brent Mydland era: the band is road-tested, the tempos are lively, and once the second set opens up the transitions get deep and unpredictable.

Highlights include a strong first set anchored by Feel Like a Stranger, Peggy-O, and a beautiful Bird Song, then the second set takes flight with China Cat Sunflower - I Know You Rider, He’s Gone, and a powerful sequence through Drums/Space into Lost Sailor - Saint of Circumstance, closing the night with Good Lovin’ and Casey Jones.
