The Type XVIIIb sword design originated in the 15th century and was favored for its stiff, diamond-shaped cross-section blade, capable of penetrating gaps in armor while still delivering powerful cuts. Our modern interpretation stays true to that heritage while using high-performance 65Mn spring steel for strength, durability, and agility in sparring or competition.
