I created this video for Sharon Lucken, who has dedicated years to creating these gardens in Wickford, Essex.
Jubilee Garden at Carroll Gardens has been awarded Level 5 – Outstanding, the highest possible accolade in the RHS “It’s Your Neighbourhood” scheme 🏆🌸
In its very first year taking part, the garden was judged as part of Britain in Bloom, earning top marks and national recognition from the Royal Horticultural Society.
The success is down to the passion and dedication of local resident Sharon Lucken, who has led the Jubilee Garden project since it began in 2012 to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. What started as a celebration has grown into a much-loved community space, thanks to years of care, creativity and community spirit 💚
The new RHS certificate now sits proudly alongside Sharon’s letter from Buckingham Palace, and the award forms part of Anglia in Bloom, celebrating community gardening and greener neighbourhoods across the region.
