Описание: Parked at the trailhead for Hopkins direct trail. This slide started .3 miles from the car. It was disgustingly grown in on the bottom filled with weeds and rocks and water flowing. It was pretty nasty but beautiful to look at. The slide then suddenly started getting steeper And the final head wall was just one of the steepest head walls I’ve seen in a long time. It was fantastic to climb and had I spend more time over there. I may have explored different routes of the bottom, steep section to see how steep I could possibly climb for fun. I would’ve put my climbing shoes on if we weren’t on a big days agenda. Anyhow, after finishing Hopkins slide, we took the north giant trail past giant slightly, and then bush whacked up the northeast slide. This was a very old slide with lots of lichen and moss. the bushwhack to the trail near the summit was not bad at all. It was pretty decently open. When we crossed over trail and started to head over the other Ridge line towards the Putnam slide, we realize that the vegetation was some of the thickest shit we have ever seen in our lives and it was filled with cliffs and holes everywhere. We started very late in the morning and it was late evening at this point. We all knew that everything we were looking at was going to be too time-consuming. Rather than get stuck on a bushwhack after dark, we decided to turn around back to the giant trail and save Putnam for another day. I will not go back and try to do that bushwhack across the Summit Ridge line. That was definitely a no go.
