Areni Winery itself was founded in 1994, with a focus on reviving Armenia's ancient winemaking heritage. The winery is known for producing high-quality wines from indigenous Armenian grape varieties such as Areni, which is native to the region. The winery's goal has been to combine modern winemaking techniques with traditional methods, showcasing the unique flavors of Armenian terroir.
