India Assures No Fuel Shortage, Stable Prices Despite Global Volatility |

Описание: The Government of India has reassured citizens that there is no shortage of fuel despite ongoing global volatility linked to developments in West Asia. Speaking at an inter-ministerial briefing, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Sujata Sharma, confirmed that the country’s crude oil inventories remain sufficient and refineries are operating at optimal capacity.

She also addressed concerns regarding sulphur supplies, stating clearly that there is no shortage, as domestic refining operations continue to function efficiently. This ensures that key industrial inputs remain available without disruption.

Importantly, the government has maintained stability in fuel prices, with no increase at petrol pumps despite international market fluctuations. To further support consumers and manage price pressures, excise duties have been reduced as part of a broader strategy to stabilize the domestic market.

These measures highlight India’s preparedness and proactive approach in handling global energy uncertainties, ensuring uninterrupted supply and protecting consumers from sudden price shocks.
