Mindy wanted to hike to Darby Wind Cave in Wyoming, just across the border from Idaho. We drove from Afton Wyoming around by Palisades Lake and up to Driggs Idaho to cross back into Wyoming to access the trail head.
I was feeling under the weather but was determined to not miss Mindy's birthday hike. She absolutely loves to be outdoors and explore the world around her and I wanted to be there for every minute.
Darby Cave is worth the hike. Actually, the views on the hike are worth the effort with the wind cave being an absolutely amazing bonus. The cave is massive and goes back for a long time where the wind gets stronger and colder. The waterfall running from the mouth of the cave is epic and easy to cross to climb into the caver entrance. This Brews with Views adventure gets two thumbs up from the Wired To Explore crew.
