On February 20, 2025, Kristin Brock (41) and James Brock (45) were found shot to death inside their home in Carroll County, Georgia. The couple was discovered in their bedroom, and authorities determined both had died from gunshot wounds. The victims’ youngest child (5) reportedly discovered the scene, and Sarah Grace Patrick, their teenage daughter/stepdaughter, contacted 911.

Together for nearly 10 years, the couple was raising three children in a blended family and were active members of their church community.

According to authorities, there were no signs of a break-in, and nothing was missing from the couple's house.

For several months following the killings, the case remained unsolved. On July 8, 2025, investigators arrested Sarah Grace Patrick, who voluntarily turned herself in after warrants were issued. She was 17 years old at the time of her arrest and is being charged as an adult.

Patrick faces:
Two counts of murder
Two counts of aggravated assault

During pre-trial proceedings:
Patrick’s bond requests were denied
The defense sought a change of venue, citing extensive media coverage, which was also denied
A psychological evaluation was ordered and remains a factor in the pre-trial timeline

A trial date has been set for January 5, 2026, though delays remain possible

The case has drawn significant attention due to Patrick’s social media activity following the deaths, including TikTok videos that circulated widely before her arrest. Prosecutors and investigators have scrutinized both digital and physical evidence as the case proceeds.
