Wonderfully weird | 90s Electrostar 16" pedestal fan | Initial review

Right then. Here is one I'm sure many of you are eager to see!

This is an absolute oddball of a fan. This is a Lasko fan that was made in Israel under license by Electrostar (which also happens to be 230v!). For some of us fan collectors in the uk, this is one of the best ways to obtain an "American" fan without paying an extortionate price on postage.

Most of this fan is identical to the American-made versions apart from the badge (ofcourse) and the neck bracket which I've been told has a slightly different arrangement on the American one.

There are also Lasko badged versions of this fan which are pretty much a spitting-image of the American ones. I've come across a few of them for sale online but they were always too far away to justify buying. However, this was the first time I have come across this Electrostar-branded version.

Unfortunetly, this fan has seen better days as the blades are pretty badly warped and scaled -up from sun damage. The grill has lost its retention clips and is in need of some polish and the neck has a crack around the area where the mounting screw sits. Not to mention most of the other plastic on this fan being all yellowed.

As stated in the video, there might be a chance that I will be getting rid of this fan as I might be moving. If that does happen and I don't end up taking it with me, I will let you all know and post it on ebay.
