Welding Tables are often times one of the first projects that new welders like to take on. It costs a lot of time, effort and money to design, come up with a bill of materials and go out and buy everything to fabricate your custom table. Not only is it time and labor intensive, but it is very difficult to make it 100% flat.

We recently found a manufacturer of "build your own" welding tables, called Tab and Slot. These tables are not only very affordable, but they are all laser cut with tabs and slots so there is no distortion while you weld, making the table perfectly flat when you're done welding it.

In this episode, we are going to show you how easy it is to build this welding table.

Step 1 - 1:24 - Assemble the Framework
Step 2 - 4:45 - Attach & Clamp Down the Outside Framework
Step 3 - 7:37 - Fasten the Table Top to the Framework (with Bolts)
Step 4 - 9:19 - Tack the Slots Around the Outside of the Table
Step 5 - 12:26 - Tack in the Corner Stiffeners
Step 6 - 13:48 - Weld the Framework Together
Step 7 - 15:22 - Flip the Table ... Then, Tack & Weld the Table Top to the Bottom Framework
Step 8 - 18:15 - Weld the Slots Around the Edge of the Table Top
Step 9 - 19:34 - Remove the Bolts, Flip the Table and finish any remaining welds.
