Описание: The wildflowers, plant communities and substrates in Testudo graeca graeca habitats in Southern Spain after a 'good' (rainy) Spring season. This also includes a number of microclimate and environmental readings taken next to wild tortoises when active and basking. Some of these are surprising, and NOT what 'experts' on many tortoise groups or social media will tell you. The levels in nature are much lower in terms of UV index and temperatures, for example. This really does demonstrate the vast difference between what is experienced and advised using artificial light and heat, and what REALLY happens in nature.... we also cover the claims that this species eats fruit and carrion in nature. Very, very rare exceptions excluded - no, it does not. We will be following this up soon with more detailed information, and also with a monthly video report on how the vegetation and temperatures change as the year advances, and how this correlates to wild tortoise activity.
