In this tutorial, we perform a blast simulation of a concrete wall in Abaqus/Explicit using the CONWEP air-blast model. The video covers both the practical modelling steps and the core blast mechanics concepts behind the simulation.
We model a 50 m × 50 m concrete wall with a window opening and apply a 100 kg TNT explosion at a 10 m stand-off distance. The tutorial explains how blast pressure is generated, how cracking is modelled, and how structural response evolves under dynamic loading.
