Описание: Earthquakes in Bengal : कोलकाता/सिलीगुड़ी. पिछले चार दिनों से बंगाल की धरती कांप रही हैं. पश्चिम बंगाल के उत्तरी हिस्से में शुक्रवार से मंगलवार सुबह तक कुल 39 बार भूकंप के झटके महसूस किए गए हैं. इतने झटके एक साथ पहले कभी नहीं महसूस किये गए. इनकी तीव्रता रिक्टर स्केल पर कभी 3 तो कभी 4 रही है. हालांकि इसका केंद्र सिक्किम है, लेकिन बंगाल के लोग भी बड़े खतरे से डरे हुए हैं. जानकार बताते है कि बेशक इसकी तीव्रता बहुत अधिक नहीं है, फिर भी भूकंप के झटके लगातार आना बड़े खतरे की आहट है. यह एक बड़ी तबाही का कारण बन सकता है. सिक्किम की सरकार ने लोगों को अलर्ट कर दिया है.
