Use primer or pore minimizer as it will help smoothen the pitted area and acts as a perfect base for the foundation to stick on to. Do not use foundation that makes you glow (this type of foundation does not provide full coverage and generally not long lasting). Use matte foundation and stay away from anything shiny or shimmery. Always start lightly and build the coverage. Do not apply foundation at one go because it will make your foundation looks cakey and thick. The key is to blend and stipple it well. Sometimes less is more. So if you have enough coverage already, do not apply more foundation. Remember to always set your foundation with powder. Avoid powder that is too shimmery especially if you have oily skin. Instead, try powders that has matte finish. Drink lots of water to reduce redness. When your skin is dehydrated, your skin can look inflamed and thus causing the acne or scars to look more red. Green tea will also help to soothe the skin as it has antioxidant properties in it.

**Covering your scars does not mean putting heaps of foundation on and looking thick. You can still get natural looking skin but still cover your acne scars.
