FEMALE FILMMAKING / VIDEOGRAPHY

Описание: As a female filmmaker/Videographer, sometimes it feels a little lonely. Over the past few years I have been working mostly on my own, venturing out to new places and working with people I’ve never met before. Although this has been an amazing journey where I’ve learnt so much and met some incredible people, this has also sometimes been a little lonely and scary.

One thing I’ve learned as a female in this industry is that safety has to be a part of my planning. If a new client invites me to a location and I’m on my own, I often need to pause and think carefully before agreeing and that’s become part of the job. That’s why building a community of female filmmakers is so important and why I was so pleased to be a part of @tejalisjak ‘s female filmmaking workshop.

It was so amazing to meet likeminded women and hear about what they do, their goals and their experiences! Much love to you all 🫶🏻.

We all learnt some new techniques and tricks from before we went out and filmed around the beautiful vibrant and inspiring markets in London Fields. After filming we learnt some awesome shortcuts and ways of editing that I’m now obsessed with! We then had the opportunity to share and learn more from Teja.

Therefore I was inspired to make a video that is a little different and encompasses how a community is really important. I decided to do a voice over to help tell the story, I used the amazing @rodemic Wirless Go Gen 3 mic that we were gifted on the day! All the footage is from that day and what I captured and I hope you enjoy it ❤️
