Описание: Minh Dam Historical Site — Ba Ria–Vung Tau, Vietnam

Minh Dam was a crucial secret guerrilla base and revolutionary stronghold used by Viet Minh/Viet Cong forces during the French and American wars. Founded officially in Feb 1946 and renamed in 1948 for martyrs Bùi Công Minh and Mạc Thanh Đạm, the site served as a command center, supply depot, hospital and living quarters for units such as the D445 Battalion. Located among jumbled sandstone boulders and thick foliage, the network of natural caverns and tunnels provided protection from artillery, bombing and B-52 strikes.

Two preserved cultural relics — the District Party Committee Cave (≈250 m from the museum) and the Army Medical Cave (≈150 m from the museum) — feature labyrinthine rooms and cement platforms; bullet- and shrapnel-pitted boulders above the caves testify to intense battles fought here. Today Minh Dam is a Revolutionary Historical Site and cultural/tourism destination with a small museum, memorials and trekking paths open to visitors.
