Описание: A male mountain lion leaves a scrape mark on top of a log. In response to his scent mark, several species investigate and leave their own scents. A gray fox is first and sniffs, then deposits its own scent. Next, a striped skunk finds the site and smells both the fox and the cougar, then leaves its own skunk scent. It's amazing how much communication goes on in the natural world by using scent. These communications are beyond the capabilities of the human nose to detect, but the wildlife have no problem.
