Board and Train - Fern Play, with obedience and impulse control

Описание: Fern like to bite people. She’s a herding breed dog with a very strong desire to bite and control things. I feel her energy has been misdirected away from appropriate things like chasing a toy and into shifting people with aggression. She has quite a game of it when she goes into biting mode.
After trying to bite me initially, we soon were able to start forming a friendship.
I’ve spend a tonne of time just playing with Fern. I’ve worked on making sure our play sessions are more cooperative - as Fern likes to push and live by her own rules… however Fern needed to learn she wasn’t the coach/captain 😂 We are a team, but at the end of the day, I’m in charge.
She just isn’t allowed to bite people, or give them hard eyes. End of story.
Bringing a few rules and a strategy into our play was the best place to start. Then, I started layering in some more refined obedience into the game. The play outweighs the work, and I’m hoping she’s starting to find the work part of the game.

If she can hold a down while a ball is being thrown, and walk past a ball worth out trying to put her mouth on it, she can walk past a human leg without biting.

So far her outings around people have been great. She’s tried it on a few times and I’ve had to be careful, but she improves daily and I feel like we are about to really nail it!
