We’ve been preparing for upcoming archival workshops spanning the next few months of 2025 and into 2026. If you want to learn more about pilates history, archival and classical pilates from primary sources, check out the itinerary below and use the links in the bio to register or apply.

2025
✨September:
Later today we’ll travel to Fairfax, Virginia for a weekend packed with archival pilates mat classes, private sessions, and two archival pilates workshops at Authentic Pilates of Fairfax.

✨October:
We’re also getting ready to go to Sopot, Poland in October for another series of archival classes and workshops at Sulkowska Studio.

✨November:
The 2025-2026 New York Pilates Studio® Teacher Training & Bridge Program begins at Rhinebeck Pilates with the Basic Seminar

2026
✨January:
Super Advanced Reformer Workshop Part 1 at Rhinebeck Pilates

✨April:
Pilates at The Pillow®: 100 Years of Contrology Celebration

⭐️About Elaine Ewing:
Elaine is owner of Rhinebeck Pilates, and a third generation, certified Authentic Pilates teacher and Certified Teacher of Teachers through the New York Pilates Studio®. Elaine is also the owner of many pieces of original equipment from both Joseph Pilates’ 8th Avenue Studio and Carola Trier’s original studio, all of which can be found within Rhinebeck Pilates.

Elaine teaches classical pilates private sessions and group classes both virtually and in-studio at Rhinebeck Pilates, which has been in business since 2003.

Additionally, Elaine presents workshops with Sean Gallagher that are based on Joseph Pilates’ original method and apparatus. In 2018 Elaine worked alongside with Sean Gallagher to help create the yearly conference at Jacob’s Pillow, Pilates at The Pillow®. They continue to host and teach this yearly conference and that has been the first in the pilates community to present “lost” apparatus and original work. Elaine enjoys researching pilates history and maintains a webpage devoted to openly sharing accurate pilates history titled: Pilates History Research Archive.

Elaine can be found on Pilatesology teaching matwork, Gratz Push Up Devices, Archival Ped-o-Pul, the Resister®, and along with Sean Gallagher, Joe’s Four Original Airplane Boards.

⭐️About Rhinebeck Pilates:
Rhinebeck Pilates opened in 2003 in Rhinebeck, NY and is a classical pilates studio, fully equipped with Gratz Pilates apparatus and original pilates equipment from Joseph Pilates and Carola Trier. Rhinebeck Pilates offers both in-studio and virtual classical pilates group classes and private sessions. We are also a pilates teacher training center for The New York Pilates Studio® Teacher Training and Bridge Program.
