Today we're diving into the new Windrose Demo! This was available thanks to the Steam Next Fest, and was a Free Demo. This is a Pirates themed survival game. It features resource gathering, base building, ship sailing, and swashbuckling 3rd person combat on the high seas! There is a robust character creator for a demo, and an interesting mystical story with famed Edward Teach known as the Pirate King Blackbeard, as our antagonist.

Today we're going to do a bit of base building, and cover a couple building tips as we go. We start with how to make a perfect circle from stone blocks or foundations using the snap points of walls. That prompts us to try and build a water well, but it doesn't do that well. We talk about my personal building style, and why I'm not setting up the builds in a grid, and mostly making smaller building. We eventually head to the new build and set up a nice angled dock to fit that design philosophy. We also note how the very building parts themselves are a bit messy and uneven, fitting our style perfectly.
