From My Childhood to His: A Birthday Trip Back to the Place I Grew Up Visiting

Описание: New York has always been a special place for me. It was our family’s go-to destination — the only place I traveled to with both my parents as a child — I'm so grateful I have pictures from these experiences... many of which I share with you during this vlog!

This year, my son really wanted to go to Disney World for his birthday, but until I’ve got that Disney budget 😅 — I suggested New York City. Praise God my boy was just as excited ✨

We stayed with my mom’s Hakka family, visited many of my dad’s Guyanese relatives, and spent time exploring iconic spots around the city — including the 9/11 Memorial, which was especially meaningful since I remember visiting the towers before 9/11 happened.

I love being able to create moments like this — trips that connect generations, stories, and memories. This road trip is one I’ll cherish for a lifetime, and I hope Z does to✨
