Ben Rushbrook, Principle Ecologist at The Hampshire and Isle of White Wildlife Trust, tells us about the important work he and his teams are doing on the Estate to conserve and enhance some of the remaining native populations of White-Clawed Crayfish.
It is believed that a large majority of White-Clawed Crayfish populations in the UK have been lost, and without active conservation this species could be lost from Britain altogether.
