1. Odontoblasts derive from ectomesenchymal cells originated by migration of neural crest cells during the early craniofacial development. Odontoblasts form the dentine, a collagen-based mineralized tissue, through secretion of its collagenous and noncollagenous organic matrix components and by control the mineralization process. Also make a note that the enamel organ partially encloses an adjacent mesodermal structure, the dental papilla. Unenclosed mesoderm of the dental papilla surrounds the enlarging enamel organ and forms a follicular sac.
2. Regarding the adhesive query, the purpose of adhesive is to bind hydrophobic composite to hydrophilic dentine. So as mentioned in the video, the hydrophilic part of adhesive binds to prime-wetted dentin & hydrophobic part to composite. Moreover, in enamel bonding, we don't need this a hydrophilic material for bonding. It's only dentine we are concerned about.
