This video is about the respect for those Marines who went before us and earned the title "The Walking Dead." This title was bestowed upon the 1st Battalion 9th Marines by Ho Chi Mihn and General Giap during a radio broadcast from North Vietnam in late 1965.
The Marines proudly accepted the title and Ho, Giap and the NVA made the Marines pay for it, in full, by taking 749 of our brothers from this World. With respect for our past and the gratitude for the men who paid the price, this tribute is for them.
