Following a series of storms that blew through New Jersey the previous day/night, this year's Fourth of July started off with a bit of cleanup in the aftermath. Along the rails signal issues plagued the Conrail Lehigh Line, resulting in several trains slowly easing through town.
Spending the better half of the day trackside, I'd catch some of these post-storm trains hanging out at Piscataway and Hillsborough. A couple highlights included K76 with a Geep duo, two M404's and the return of X406 (Extra M406) to the area as CSX detours continued.
