Crossing The Tarp with Cody

Описание: Crossing the tarp was the most difficult obstacle we have ever had in the past....today, was a piece of cake...Cody is a very sensitive horse, but with hours of groundwork we have conquered the tarp!

But....with ground work and working with Cody allowing him to have a voice and giving him the choice to not cross and then asking him to trust me was the turning point for us. He crossed with a willing attitude and it was no big deal.

This was 100's of hours of ground work and building trust and communication between us.

It doesn't have to take you that long, at least not 100's of hours like it took me with him. I tried and tried and kept at it until one day it changed.

When I changed, he changed....

He began to trust me and I became his leader.

I will show you my method in his groundwork and saddle journey and at this point, there is nothing he won't do for me.

Trust, communication, confidence with both my horse and myself is and was the turning point. I became the horsewoman he needed me to be and who I wanted to be for him and for me.

This is not the same horse that I had 10 years ago.

I am so proud of him to not react and overact and blow up.

I have given him a choice to not do it and I would have encouraged him to try.

But, it didn't happen....he willingly walked over the scary tarp.
