Описание: In this edition of Henshaws Knowledge Village, Mark answers a question he is asked all the time; What is the best OCR or Text-to-Speech device available for blind or visually impaired users?

There are many OCR devices and apps available, some of which offer many fantastic additional features, however in this video, Mark attempts to find out which might have the best text-to-speech feature for you!

Here is the test - Using the same article from a magazine, at the same place and same lighting conditions to experiment; Mark puts four of the best OCR devices head-to-head, to compare their text-to-speech features. The devices include the new OrCam Read, the Optelec Compact 10 HD speech, the Enhanced Vision Smart Reader and the very popular, free Microsoft Seeing AI app for Apple IOS.

It is important to note that all of these devices offer an array of various features and many have customisable settings for individual preference. This video is created as a quick demo, to compare how the devices preform and sound.

Which is the best? It is completely subjective! Which do you prefer?
