Mini Golf, 1985 Bally/Sente

Описание: 18-hole game of miniature golf. Various little obstacles like slopes, spinning triangles, electrical fields, whirlpools, barriers, and things that "swallow" your ball to be re-deposited into play through a pipe litter each hole. Use a trakball to hit your ball, and for each hole you have about 6 strokes; if you use up your strokes you get no bonus and are forced to the next hole. Note that you have text that reads HOLES TO GO; this is very important! If this reads zero, it's game over when you finish the hole. In order to get more holes to go, you must look at where it says BONUS on the screen. If there is a flag showing below this, this is the opportunity to add to the HOLES TO GO, as long as you sink it on that stroke. If you don't the flag is likely to disappear for the next stroke. Something else to note is when there are holes on the course that can deposit your ball elsewhere on the course. Sometimes sinking it in the right hole will put you really close to the cup, or possibly right it right in! This game is okay-- the music is very light and bouncy much of the time, but some sound effects are downright annoying (like the ball going in the cup-- why not just the usual sound of the ball rattling in the cup?). Plus, good luck on getting the controls working well in an emulator. Interesting tidbit: the game (through dipswitch) may advertise lost children, 2 at a time, during the attract mode! Hope all those kids have been found and are okay to this day.
