Wave Redux (which is now unfortunately delisted from the iOS App Store) is the spiritual successor to an old twitch-action mobile game that goes by the name of "Wave Wave". Yep, this is the sequel to the game that inspired the Wave gamemode in a certain other extremely popular game.
This game is unique in that there are two separate modes, each at an easier and harder difficulty (called Plus): one that plays like the classic but at a much, much slower pace (Chill), and another where you actually use swiping movements to navigate your player as far as you can under constant time pressure (Hype).
So yeah, this is the easy version of the swipe movement mode, and here I was aiming for the highest possible rank which is the "Legend" rank, which I learned on this run is attained at a score of 4000.
I got this pretty quick, but that's thanks to all the time I had spent on the Hype Plus mode, which has a much higher speed limit and is thus MUCH more difficult.
I hope to one day record a video of me getting Legend rank on Hype Plus as well, no one has ever gotten it legitimately so far.
