A walk around the old industrial dams near Milton of Campsie, located directly under the Campsie Fells. Included are the Alloch Dam and Ashenwell Dams. These locations are connected by a well trod walking routes of around 3 miles starting from Milton of Campsie Cross, up School Lane, passing Craighead Primary School, and onward up Craighead Road. The walk offers scenic, initially tarmac then onto at times muddy, trails through woodlands and hills.
In the video I try to identify some of the uses of the man-made dams but if you know more jump into the comments and lets share knowledge. Anyway hope you enjoy.
