Описание: Rate of DAP fertilizer (diammonium phosphate, diammonium phosphate fertilizer) is increasing extraordinarily and wheat farmers have been forced to use nitrophos as its alternate. We have described its status in wheat production in this video. It was made up of NP 23:23 and considered as good and effective alternate of DAP but manufacturers have reduced its ratio to 22:20. Using of same old name but reducing NP ratio and proportion is not a good practice and found to be a tactic of money making in the disguise of established brand.
Nevertheless, it is advised that nitrophos may be used as alternate of DAP by splitting its application as 50 kg NP at sowing, 50 kg NP+50 kg urea at 1st irrigation and flooding of 25 kg NP at booting stage may lead to wheat production of 40 maunds per acre.
High prices of DAP has made it impossible for small farmers to use even a single bag of dap fertilizer in their fields. New price of DAP is now more than 14k per 50kg bag.

DAP (diammonium phosphate) is the king of artificial fertilizers and has been playing a very important role in the crop production worldwide. In Pakistan too, it is considered as the most important fertilizer for attaining the the potential yield and production of field crops. Its price has so much increases that it has become very difficult for the poor farmers to purchase this fertilizer. In this video, we have suggested the solophos (Jaffar AG), Ultrasol (Swat Agro) and Growfos as alternates of DAP. As these fertilizers are acidic in nature, readily soluble/available to the plant, therefore it is advised that these should be applied in split fertigation in the standing crop instead application as basal dose. Being acidic in nature and more rich in phosphorus, MAP (mono ammonium phosphate) of Engro has also been declared as better option than DAP.
