Toyota HiLux 48V Hybrid V-Active 2024 review - Rogue 4x4 (inc off-road)

It still has a 2.8L turbo-diesel engine, with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system integrated into the powertrain to aid it in stop-start traffic, with a multi-mode stop-start system to help recharge the battery pack.

The battery drives a belt-driven motor generator that can assist the engine, and help use less fuel in urban driving, too.

There are some other changes that I'll cover off in this review, including interior changes and payload considerations, but watch along -- and see if you think the new MTS (Multi Terrain System) from the 300 Series having been added is worth the extra money, too!
