Sexism in Disney Princess Live Action Remakes and How they Tried to “Fix” their Princesses

Описание: Disney has displayed sexism in their princess live-action remakes by taking the princess’ feminine characteristics and replacing them with masculine ones. The advertising done for these movies often has the approach of “fixing” the original character. This inadvertently sends the message that there is something wrong with feminine traits and women who are feminine need “fixing.” In this video, I go over how the live-action versions of Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, and Snow White are the main victims of this attitude, while Cinderella is a great example of how to keep the original character’s feminine qualities while expanding on the story and creating a genuinely strong female character.
