The Apostle Paul was a man who suffered a great deal for the cause of Jesus Christ during the course of his ministry. And yet, neither his extensive labour in the Lord nor the many indignations he suffered for preaching the gospel were causes enough for him to exalt himself. In all of his triumphs and his trials he remained humble in order to serve as a living example of what it means to walk as Christ walked. Paul knew that only the Lord Jesus is worthy of exaltation.
