Just a few hours before Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi delivered his State of the Province Address, mayhem erupted in various parts of Tembisa, Ekurhuleni, over water and electricity cuts and frustrations.
Community members barricaded roads, closing various main routes around the township, demanding resolutions to the ongoing service delivery challenges.
Morning and afternoon traffic was heavily affected by the protest.
