With memory is a bit rusty and mechanics that hit very different from the modern remake, this playthrough is all about rediscovering what made the original so special: the music, the charm, the challenge, and those classic SNES-era systems that don’t hold your hand.
Expect nostalgia, comparisons to the remake, and plenty of “oh yeah, that’s how it worked” moments as I dive back into one of Square’s most beloved action RPGs.
