The mosque has two main areas: the outside area
which has courtyard and umbrellas. the inside structure
which is actual mosque.
There are gates for both areas, the outside area has
gates with 3 digits starting from 301 to 370 while the
inside area has gates with two digits starting from 1 to
42.
Anyone can enter into Masjid Al Nabawi through the
outside area using the gates 301 to 370. But when
going to inside the actual mosque, there are specific
gates for men and women.
For the main mosque structure, which is the actual
prayer area, there are dedicated gates for ladies prayer
area inside the mosque. These are gates 11 to 17 and
gates 23 to 31
So make sure, if you are travelling with your family,
book the hotels close to these gates. If you book the
hotels to the other side of these gates, it will be very
hard to walk five times a day.
