Learn how to cut, solder and reseal your waterproof LED strips from a professional. In this video Jorge goes into detail on what you need in order to properly seal and extend your waterproof strips. This video is part of a 2 part series. The techniques in this video can be used to extend an LED Strip.
In this video:
-Unlike IP 67 LED Strips, IP 68 Strips have additional protection.
-The LED Strip will be cut off and sealed at the end.
Make sure to cut at the middle of two connectors.
You don't need to further expose the connectors from sealant unless you wish to extend or solder.
-When applying sealant on end cap, place sealant on end cap first.
Don't worry if Silicone comes out.
-Do Not Push LED Strip all the way to the point it touches the end cap. Leave a gap between end cap and PCB connector.
