Located at the heart of Bangalore, the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering is one of the leading technical institutions of the country. Established in 1917, the college has been the alma mater of many famous personalities such as Prof Roddam Narasimha, Wg Cmdr H G Dattatreya, Mano Murthy, Prakash Belawadi, Ramesh Aravind, Aravind Bhat and many more. It was the first Engineering college of Karnataka and fifth Engineering college of India.
