A few years ago, I stumbled upon a podcast on Xiaoyuzhou called “Coming and Going in Quanzhou”, and since then, I’ve found myself returning to this city again and again.

This time, I decided to film the journey — as a heartfelt tribute to Lao Li, the voice behind the podcast.

Day 1 starts at the iconic Kaiyuan Temple, and continues through the incense-filled Guan-Yue Temple, the ancient Qingjing Mosque, the historically resonant Confucian Temple, and the little-known Zu Shi Bridge — a place only locals would mention.

Walking through Quanzhou once more, with Lao Li’s voice in mind, I hope this video helps you fall in love with the city too.
