In this lecture we are going to discuss about contravariant and covariant vectors which we will study in two parts. This is part one in which we will going to have detailed understanding of the meaning of the word contravariant and covariant. We will take example in order to clearly able to distinguish between covariant and contravariant. After that we will see the notation used by contravariant and covariant component.
