We The People - I’ll Get You Yet (1966)

Описание: Story time: Here is a clip of the 7” my dad recorded in 1965 (at the age of 16) with his band, “We the People”. I never knew about this until after he passed away. His friend Alan (also pictured) told me the name of the band after he died.

This version of We the People featured leader Manny Fagundes on lead guitar, Jarry Shervo (“Peter Weeple”) on bass, Bruce Entwistle on vocals and keyboards, John LaBrode on rhythm guitar, and Alan Levin (“Ally”) on drum

A rarities collector doesn’t have the actual 7” but he does have cataloged MP3’s and was able to send them. I heard this for the first time about a year after my dad passed away. So unreal to hear my father’s teenage voice a year after he was gone.

I’m sharing it now, as I’m remembering him, 60 years after it we recorded. I wish he knew I got to hear it.

His birthday is next week, and he would’ve been 77. He would’ve gotten a kick out of this, I think.

Any rare 1960’s garage band collectors out there have this 45??? I’d love to have it.

EDIT: This is the New England “We the People” — apparently it is the same band, kinda. Lead guitarist Manny Fagundes the lead guitarist moved down to Orlando and started up with some new guys in Florida. My dad just played in it when he was a teenager in New England
