******************************************************************************* The government informed Parliament that 37 supercomputers have been deployed under the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM), raising India’s total capacity to 40 petaflops. Key achievements include the indigenous PARAM Rudra system, high utilisation levels, over 1 crore compute jobs, and significant research output. Startups and MSMEs are also benefiting from these HPC resources.
Launched in 2015, the NSM focuses on building an indigenous HPC ecosystem, installing supercomputers across institutions via the National Knowledge Network, developing domestic hardware and applications, and strengthening HPC-trained human resources.
