What happens when God reveals what’s truly in your heart? In this powerful sermon, we explore the story of Hazael in 2 Kings 8:7–15, where the prophet Elisha wept after seeing the evil Hazael would one day do, and the story of David in 2 Samuel 12, who, when confronted by the prophet Nathan, repented and cried out, “Create in me a clean heart, O God” (Psalm 51:10).
Through these two men’s different responses, we learn that God’s revelations are not to condemn us but to call us into transformation. Will we deny what’s in us like Hazael, or surrender like David?
