Sens prospect Thomas Chabot goes coast to coast for a highlight reel goal for the Saint John Sea Dogs in QMJHL action Saturday (March 11, 2017) at Harbour Station. The smooth skating 19 year old defence man takes the puck on the powerplay from one end to the other and beats Halifax Mooseheads defenceman Jared McIsaac to walk in alone on Alex Gravel and go high on the rookie netminder. Its an example of what this Senators 1st round pick is capable of. Due to an extended stay with the Sens at the first of the season, world junior hockey comittments and a couple of suspensions, it was Chabot's first game this season against Halifax. Needless to say he made an impact tying the score and sending the league leading Sea Dogs on to a 5-3 win. Even Saint John colour commentator Bruce Smith was impressed comparing the goal to some of those scored by the legendary Bobby Orr.
