STORYLINE
Tension on the border between Israel and Lebanon remained high on Wednesday.
The Israeli army stepped up its patrols, a day after Israeli helicopters opened fire at suspected militants setting up rocket launchers.
Lebanese officials said two Palestinian guerrillas were killed and one wounded in the air strikes.
On Monday, in response to the assassination of the Hamas spiritual leader, Sheik Ahmed Yassin in Gaza, Hezbollah guerrillas fired rockets at Israeli positions on the border.
The Israeli army responded with airstrikes and artillery fire.
