Field of Glory Kingdoms is not just any strategy game - I'd go so far as to say it is one of the best grand strategy games in recent memory, precisely because of how deep it goes, and how fun its mechanics are. It definitely took me a while to understand just how everything works and how I could take my puny petty kingdom to a better government rank, but once it clicked, I felt that sweet sense of addiction only truly deep strategy games offer.

Set in the high middle ages but offering four different campaigns set in Iberia, Europe, and the Middle East, Field of Glory Kingdoms offers something for every medieval enthusiast out there, especially if you love immersive mechanics, challenging gameplay, and the ability to take charge of so many different medieval realms of this era. Add on to that the different faction mechanics, unique modifiers and the awesome crusade and religious war events, not to mention the near-seamless integration of Kingdoms and Medieval, and you really do have one of the coolest and deepest medieval grand strategy games ever made. We even have family trees, loyalty systems and internal decision mechanics here, and you know, the more you play, the more this game opens up to you. Field of Glory Kingdoms is absolutely a contender for best strategy game of 2024!
